The nightingale of Nepal also known as Swar Samragi has recorded over 4000 songs which are themed of patriotic and love in her lifetime. She first sang at the age of 5 for Radio Nepal then started her career at 7. She sang many songs which are vivid till now, naming any one of them would be disrespectful to other. Though physically she is not with us, she lives through her songs.

Born on June 1971, she joined the nunnery at the age of 13 where she sowed the seed of music in her. The folk singer got into the music while singing during the events in her school days. This Nepal born Canadian resident sound engineer grew up to be a powerful singer. She started exposing her talents through singing at the age of 10, by 14 she wrote and recorded by 15. Her first album Sabai Thikai Huncha was a hit and since then the success has paved her way.
Best known for her ghazal “Na birse Timilai” , is also a playback singer which includes more than 100 nepali melodious songs. Born in Tanahun, she created controversy when the news came that being converted to christian she could not sing the song for hindu event. Despite all other factors her voice seems to be a valuable asset among the listeners.
